8.5 Ha, permaculture community located in the mountains of Costa Rica of Costa Rica, about 40 minutes away from San Isidro. The farm is perched on a ridge top, overlooking the entire valley of Pérez Zeledón, with Mount Chirripó, Costa Rica’s tallest mountain, as its center piece. One hour form the beach Uvita. 50% is pasture and the other 50% of the land is regenerated.
On the farm you will find Casa La Vista, complete with a 10-meter-wide yoga deck, over 150 young fruit trees & dozens of mature ones, a budding festival grounds, The Fruition Center, school buses, covered tent zones, dormitory, an office and library, greenhouse, composting toilets, solar heated showers, a natural swimming pond, permaculture gardens and systems, and plenty of space to welcome future members who wish to build their own home in the hills.
They have our own spring water, and food forests and the climate are perfect with regular gentle breezes that carry away the common tropical humidity. Responsibilities will include maintenance of the communal use spaces, checking in guests, caring for the dogs and cats, watering of the greenhouse and staying in communication with the owners, groundskeeper, and occasional skilled volunteers. This is a commission-based profit-sharing position, so social media engagement skills will be to your benefit. You will also be able to supplement that income by managing a small “store” providing farm harvested goods to guests. For food enthusiasts, it will also be possible to provide meals to guests on a periodic basis.
