Barons Resort is a boutique resort with old world charm and luxurious full service accommodations. This 7000 sq. ft. complex is uniquely situated on top of a mountain with the most incredible 360° views. Surrounded by hundreds of acres of conservatory land, the property can accommodate 14-20 guests with six top-of-the-line furnished villas. Each villa has over 500 sq. ft. of living area with a living room, fully equipped kitchen that has a full size refrigerator/freezer, oven, range, microwave, and dining area for 4, and so much more. There is a main house that is over 2000 sq. ft., a pool/spa, a private party room that is all glass enclosed, perfect for enjoying the spectacular views and a covered 1000 plus sq. ft. open pavilion for dining, hosting large parties and general entertainment.
The City of Atenas is known for the best climate in the world and the fact that Barons Resort is located on even a higher elevation offers you the supreme location for your vacation. Barons Resort is only 25 minutes to the international airport, and 35 minutes to the capital city of San Jose with great shopping and exciting tours. The Pacific Ocean, 35 minutes away, offers great swimming, surfing, snorkeling or just relaxing with year round water temperatures in the 80° range.
Each villa offers high quality bedding with either a king or queen size memory foam mattress. The bathrooms are oversized with glass-enclosed showers, plenty of hot water from individual on-demand water heaters. Ladies will love our dedicated makeup counter with mirrors and chairs, hair dryer and more. There is an in-room safe for your valuables and plenty of large closet and storage area. Each villa has its own private balcony to enjoy your coffee in the morning or dinner at night for two.
Besides the walking trails on the property, one can enjoy the conservation reserve with over 500 different exotic plants and birds, coffee trees and over 40 types of other fruit trees.
The Boutique Hotel is located right off Hwy 3 and 5, minutes from the new highway. All roads are paved. We are situated in the very safe community of Vista Atenas.
The quaint town of Atenas, 5 minutes away, offers 4 super markets, and 20 restaurants that offer diversified menus. There is on site laundry facilities and daily or weekly housekeeping. The hotel can provide private chefs in our kitchen to prepare meals for two to 50 guests with advance reservation.
